About my fundraising
A true test of stamina and determination- the challenge is no ordinary charity walk it's tough, and for certain - no stroll in the park! Tackling 50 km in under 12 hours. An early morning start, and from Putney Bridge the route follows the Thames Path west towards Windsor via checkpoints at Kew Gardens, Hampton Court, and Shepperton before arriving at the National Trust site at Runnymede - witness to the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215 - a fitting end-point for 50km walkers... Luckily I will be supported by my Dad who will be walking with me and potentially dragging me to the finish line!
We are taking on this challenge to raise awareness and funds for Pioneers UK Ministries. As many of you will know I (Bethany) spent last summer in one of the poorest countries in the world, Burkina Faso; living and working alongside the long term Pioneers team based there.
