Tony Barclay is running the Belfast Half Marathon for Pathfinder Dogs

Event date: 14th September 2014

antrimbadger is raising money for Pathfinder Guide Dog Programme

My story

On September 14th 2014, Tony Barclay - partner to Pathfinder Dog 'Kambo' will run his first Half Marathon (13.1 miles), as part of the Belfast Half Marathon. Tony only started running in January 2014, and this will be his longest race so far. Guided in his daily life by Kambo, Tony is all too aware of the incredible difference having a Pathfinder Dog makes. Tony will be guided by his coach and mentor throughout the race, by means of a wrist strap connecting guide runner and blind runner. Tony cannot see where he is going, who is around him, or any of the myriad other obstacles he will come across!
Please show your support for Pathfinder Dogs, help fund another Pathfinder puppy, who will become a guide to another blind person.

Tony has set himself a target of raising £100 a mile that he runs. Please help him reach his goal, and help another blind person become partner to a Pathfinder dog.

Please note: Tony has paid the entrance fee for the Half Marathon himself, and is covering ALL of his expenses himself.
