Save the Bees: Cardiff 10K

I will be running the Cardiff 10K on Sun 9th Sept to raise awareness of the plight of the Honey Bee. Bees are a vital link in the food chain and are disappearing at an alarming rate due to Colony colapse symtrom, various mites and other factors.

It has been estimated that if all the bees in the world died off tomorrow the entire World would run out of food in 6 months - this is serious people!

2012 with its wet summer has been a particularly bad year for Bees in Wales with many hives having to be fed with Glucose solutions as they have not produced enough honey to sustain them. As a result honey and many fruits prices will go through the roof later this year. We need to encourange more peolple to become Bee Keepers.
