About Bedfordshire African Community Centre (BACC)

The Bedfordshire African Community Centre is a community organisation based in Luton and the Bedfordshire area acting as a resource body. Established in 2002. Our aim is to support and assist individuals and minority groups to develop skills and values that are needed in the wider community. We target Black african ethnic groups who are predominantly refugees,asylum seekers and new migrants.

(I) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF AFRICAN PEOPLE LIVING IN LUTON, BEDFORDSHIRE AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS REGARDLESS OF THEIR GENDER, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE, POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID AFRICAN PEOPLE AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE AFRICAN PEOPLE. (II) TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF PEOPLE IN AFRICAN SUB-SAHARAN COUNTRIES WHO ARE IN NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS AND ASSIST IN THE RECOVERY OF THOSE WHO ARE SICK, CONVALESCENT, DISABLED OR INFIRM.
