About Beans Means Brains
Beans Means Brains provides school lunches for primary and secondary school children in Uganda. The aim is to promote the education, health and well-being of the children by providing a nutritious meal each day. We provide over 130,000 meals a year and the difference that the programme makes to the children is tangible - increased attendance at school, better concentration, more energy and improved results.
Longer term, the aim is to generate enough income from activities within Uganda to sustain the project financially.
Beans Means Brains is a project of registered charity, Sustainable Communities Network (UK) No 1109945.
Every penny raised through www.everyclick.com goes directly towards the costs of lunch - we do not use this money for administration costs.

Funds raised may be used to ...
Funds raised will be used to meet the ongoing costs of food purchases as well as replacement equipment and meeting the costs of the local kitchen staff. We will also use some of the funds for agricultural projects to grow food - beans, cabbages, spinach, sweet potatoes - to contribute to the large amount of food that over 600 hungry children need each day!
