About Aniridia Network UK
Aniridia Network UK is a small charity providing informaiton and support to people affected by the rare eye condition aniridia and their families.
Aniridia is a genetic condition which causes a person to be born with an underdeveloped eye. the most obvious symptom is the lack of the iris (coloured ring) in the eye.People with aniridia are born partially sighted or blind and may loose further sight during their lifetime. Some may also have other health problems related to aniridia.
We bring together patients and their families to share our knowledge and experience, give emotional support and provide information on medical care, research, educaiton and welfare.
