About my fundraising
On July 20th I completed my toughest cycling challenge - the route of a stage in the Tour de France from Montelimar to the summit of Mont Ventoux in Provence. The last 22km involved climbing 1600m, more than a mile, straight up Ventoux in temperatures around 40C. It was not just about the day itself. I have been training in all weathers since March just to have a hope of finishing the 172km ride alongside 8,500 others. 1,100 failed to finish so I'm pleased to have reached the top.
