September 11th 2010 My neice Ruth and I are flying out to China to take part in a Charity trek on the Great Wall of China. WHY We're raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. (MS) Angela, my sister and Ruths' mum has MS. We are both self funding which means that we are paying for the trip ourselves which means that all our fundraising will go straight to MS. So the challange is on! I'm not the fitest of ladies, give me a glass of wine and box of chocolates over exercise any day. So over the next year I must exercise and also try to overcome my fear of heights. If you want to check out the height issue look at www.charitychallenge.com then China Trek !! Ruth has held a coffee morning and this weekend is hosting a mulled wine and mince pie morning! GOOD LUCK Ruth! Ruths mincepie and mulled wine morning went very well and she has reached £1000 of fundraising. My next big event is a Fundraising Ceilidh in Crawfordjohn 6th March. BUT have been geting some walking in. John and I did 12 miles on Saturday along the coast south of Stranrar. ^ of The Ladies Wot Read are also heading of on part of the Wst Highland Way in May, so sholud get fit eventually. 2 days to go and few nerves kicking in at the last minute. Many thanks to everyone who has supported Ruth and I we are now over £7000! Must now go and packxx
