About my fundraising
In August last year I took my boys, up to the top of Skiddaw - they've never really climbed a hill before let alone a mountain. While at the top I decided that we would do the Waendel Walk, and raise funds for the Daylight Centre. A vital resource locally for some of the most vulnerable people in our area.
So on May 12th TK (who is 4yrs old and the one in the red jacket in the photo) will lead me and his brothers boys, 11,8 around the (much flatter than Skiddaw) countryside around Wellingborough - a 16 mile trek. And yes you did read that right - the youngest in our group is TK who will still be 4 when he completes it!!
Just to put that 16 miles into perspective, imagine walking from Heathrow Airport to Hyde Park.........well yes - it's approximately the same distance!
Please give what you can afford - even just £5 could provide twenty cups of tea. That's twenty chances for someone to sit and chat, to have time to be listened to, and to find the support they need.
